If you're in the mood for down home comfort food you really can't go wrong here. You get a home cooked type of meal brought to you be a friendly server at a reasonable price. Big menu selection and just like old style home cooking, the food is not perfect or very healthy but it hist the spot. The kids like it here and the shop is fun to look around too.

Highlight of visit: The Friday Fish Fry is a favorite.

I admit to not being a very big fan of country down home cooking but I bring my parents here as they always enjoy it. It does have a varied menu and I usually just order a salad which is quite good. My parents rotate between the usual Country Fried Steak and Chicken and Dumplings type of dishes and they like them, but to me the veggies always look overcooked. Occasionally there can be a wait for a table but the shop is fun to look around while waiting. Servers are mostly good but seem to be spread thin when busy. If it wasn't for my parents I'd never visit but I'm happy they enjoy it.

My family used to be big fans of this place. The size of the servings are small and have gone down in taste and quality. They should be ashamed to serve the biscuits they are small and crumble when we tried to butter them.

We haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in years and thought we'd try it again for lunch yesterday. The store part if kind of fun but the dining area seems very cluttered with everyone in each others space. The menu doesn't exactly have the healthiest options on it. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich Platter and my wife had a Trout dish. We found everything was salty and vegetables way over cooked. The trout seemed just like a frozen fillet and just tasted of a salty lemon pepper seasoning. The Reuben was a little sloppy but was okay. Overall we're just not Cracker Barrel fans and find we can get much tastier options almost anywhere else. We did notice many others seemed to be enjoying that kind of food so each to their own I guess!

I have eaten at this Cracker Barrel many of times, the food is consistently very good. That is why they have waiting lines. The chicken and dumplings, cornbread, biscuits, Turkey and sides are like homemade.
